the Adani Group has unveiled India's first Medium Altitude, Long Endurance (MALE) drone, Drishti 10 'Starliner.' This sophisticated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) represents a remarkable stride toward strategic autonomy and technological leadership in advanced aerial systems. The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral R Hari Kumar, flagged off the inaugural indigenously manufactured UAV during a ceremony at Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad.

Drishti 10 'Starliner' is an advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform with outstanding capabilities, including a remarkable 36 hours of endurance and a substantial 450 kg payload capacity. Notably, it is the only all-weather military platform with STANAG 4671 certification, making it certified for flight in both segregated and unsegregated airspace.

Admiral R Hari Kumar emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, "This is a momentous occasion and a transformative step in India's quest for self-reliance in ISR technology and maritime supremacy." He commended Adani Group's commitment to developing local capabilities, extending beyond manufacturing to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.

Adani's Comprehensive Defense Ecosystem

The flag-off ceremony at Adani Aerospace Park highlighted the company's commitment to building a robust defense and aerospace ecosystem. Adani Defence and Aerospace have already established capabilities in various domains, including small arms, radars, defense electronics, and avionics. The comprehensive ecosystem positions Adani well to integrate larger platforms and contribute to India's self-reliance in defense and security.

Adani Defence's achievements extend beyond UAVs. They are setting up India's first comprehensive aircraft MRO facility, ensuring safety and airworthiness according to international standards. With a focus on addressing emerging threats, Adani Defence is also developing counter-drone systems for defense and civil applications.

During the ceremony, D Sridhar Babu, Telangana's Minister of Industries and Commerce, IT, Electronics, and Legislative Affairs, congratulated the Adani Defence and Aerospace team for establishing a dynamic ecosystem for unmanned systems. Lieutenant General Ajay Suri, Director General of Army Aviation, announced that the Indian Navy and Indian Army have ordered two Drishti-10 drones to address the urgent need for satellite communication-enabled drones.

Jeet Adani, Vice President of Adani Enterprises, expressed pride in serving the Indian Navy and emphasized the strategic importance of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance platforms. Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence and Aerospace, highlighted the handover of the Drishti 10 Starliner UAV as a watershed moment in achieving self-sufficiency and indigenization of advanced technologies. He credited the on-time delivery to robust quality management processes and excellent support from partners.

The unveiling of India's first MALE drone, Drishti 10 'Starliner,' marks a historic milestone in the nation's journey toward self-reliance in defense technology. Adani Group's dedication to innovation, indigenization, and comprehensive defense capabilities positions them as a key player in shaping India's defense landscape on a global scale.
