The new processor family provides an unparalleled experience for mobile enthusiasts. Roger Chandler, Intel's vice president and general manager for Enthusiast PC and Workstations, expressed, "Our Intel Core 14th Gen processor family is built to bring top-notch performance and platform features to enthusiast and mainstream PC users alike."

Intel Core 14th Gen HX-Series: Power-packed for mobile enthusiasts

The HX-series mobile processors, designed for gamers, creators, and professionals seeking robust performance on the go, boast impressive specifications.

The Intel Core i9-14900HX, with eight performance cores and 16 efficient cores, delivers up to 5.8 gigahertz (GHz) turbo frequency, providing a 17 percent boost in gaming performance and a 51 percent faster multitasking experience compared to the competition. The i7-14700HX processors incorporate 50 percent more E-cores, reaching 20 cores and 28 threads.

The HX-series processors support up to 192 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, offer overclocking capabilities, and feature Thunderbolt™ 5 with 80 gigabits per second (Gbps) bi-directional bandwidth, enhancing display and data experiences. With Intel Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+), Wi-Fi 7 (5 Gig), and Bluetooth 5.4 and 5.3, these processors cater to the latest wireless connectivity needs.

Intel expands its Core 14th Gen desktop stack, providing mainstream users with 18 new processors ranging from 35 to 65 watts. These processors promise real-world performance improvements, with up to 37 percent faster multi-thread performance and 7 percent better Microsoft Office performance than the previous generation.

The processors, including the i9-14900 and i7-14700, support up to 192 GB of DDR5-5600/DDR4-3200 memory and maintain compatibility with existing Intel 600- and 700-series-based motherboards. These processors cater to diverse user needs with PCIe Gen 5.0, Gen 4.0, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 3.2 connectivity support.

At the edge, these processors empower vertical markets with enhanced AI capabilities, facilitating more efficient and innovative results in education, healthcare, and automation.

A leap in thin-and-light computing

For mainstream thin-and-light systems, Intel introduces the Core U Processor Series 1, featuring the Intel Core 7 processor 150U. With up to 5.4 GHz turbo frequency, 10 cores, and 12 threads, these processors offer a balance of efficiency and performance.

Supporting up to 96 GB of DDR5-5200/DDR4-3200 memory, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, and advanced Bluetooth features, these processors cater to the evolving demands of mobile users.

Mobile systems powered by the Intel Core U Processor Series 1 are set to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024, promising a new era of efficient and feature-rich computing for users on the move, according to Intel.
