"Bicycle with a mind": Urtopia announces World's first e

The company's e-bikes integrate with popular platforms like Apple Health and Strava, opening up new possibilities for cyclists. Riders can monitor their heart rate fluctuations while cycling, thanks to the integration of iWatch health data.

The bike listens to this data and adjusts power compensation automatically to provide the user with a better exercising experience and longer riding distance.

A partnership with Strava opens up possibilities for riders to easily share their cycling on social media along with the carbon credits they earn. This is touted to encourage more people to embrace cycling over other polluting forms of transportation.

A "Fusion" of Art and Technology.

Urtopia’s dedication to smart features and environmental sustainability attracted the attention of the renowned industrial designer, Hartmut Esslinger.

The founder of Frog Design and the creative mind behind Apple’s iconic Snow White design concept worked with the cycling company to unveil Urtopia Fusion at EUROBIKE 2023.

New and highly anticipated, the Urtopia Fusion is a work of art, with a full carbon fiber body weighing under 20kg. Its stylish industrial design and all-road adaptability prompted Esslinger to dub it “the iPhone in e-bike”.

The integration of ChatGPT will allow the rider to ask the bike for directions to a coffee shop or local bike shop, as well as prompt the bot to build up a conversation on any topic under the sun, as showcased in a promotional video. Except for Black Mirror episodes, perhaps.

While the voice in the video sounded rather robotic and artificial, this could improve as more users embrace the chatbot and the company finetunes its offering.

Urtopia follows Mercedes Benz in offering ChatGPT integration to its customers, with the German automaker announcing the addition of the chatbot to its MBUX multimedia system.
