Arctic Ice ships 100,000

According to the company, Arctic Ice, which recently shipped a big chunk of ice to Dubai, says these parts of the ice sheets have not been in contact with any soils or contaminated by pollutants produced by human activities. Nor is this ice made in factories. So, how do they procure it?

The cleanest H20 on Earth

How they do it is by harvesting ice from icebergs that have been already naturally detached from the glacier and floating in the Nuuk fjord.

Every iceberg undergoes meticulous manual selection and examination before being elevated onto its production vessel through the use of a crane and specialized lifting equipment. 

This stringent process guarantees the ice's quality and purity. They expressed it a few times on their website that their sourcing strictly avoids extracting ice directly from the glacier. 

Given the natural occurrence of vast quantities of ice breaking off glaciers annually, they say that their exceedingly limited production has an inconsequential ecological footprint.

“Our ice can be used for all kinds of beverages, drinks, and food products. Some of our clients use it for beauty and ice baths because it’s the purest H20 on earth,” said Samir Ben Tabib, chairman of international relations at Arctic Ice, in an interview.

It can be added to drinks and other eatable as the ice has little to no taste, “ensuring it doesn’t alter the flavor of beverages as it melts, unlike ice made from tap or mineral water,” said the company.

“Additionally, its structure makes it last longer in drinks, providing a premium experience in bars and restaurants.”

But they don’t provide ice to just anybody

“Our exclusive product and the venue must match,” said Tabib.

More upcoming products are bound for Dubai. Tabib revealed to Khaleej Timesthat the exclusive item will find its place on the shelves of upscale restaurants, cafes, and within the residences of high-net-worth individuals.

But the company also says that they not only believe in serving their customers but also in protecting the environment, assisting local communities, and advocating for social justice.

The company’s future plans entail incorporating hybrid and battery-powered ships into its fleet. “We aim to be 100 percent carbon-neutral in five years,” added Tabib.
